SPIRITUAL FITNESS STUDY PLAN

Main   -   Bible Study

Train yourselves in godliness, for, while physical training is of some value, godliness is valuable in every way, holding promise for both the present life and the life to come.  1 Timothy 4:7-8

 Welcome to the Spiritual Fitness Study Plan.  After completing this study plan you will understand and be able to apply biblical principles that develop a more effective spiritually fit Christian life.  You will demonstrate your commitment to God's leadership through your faithfulness in staying spiritually fit.

Study Plan

    1.  You will study your lesson weekly and do the daily activities.

    2.  You will meet weekly for an individual session to process and practice what you have learned during the week.

    3.  Practical exercises will help you make learning life related and life changing.

Daily Study "Begin with Prayer"

    1.  Focus on the key ideas

    2.  Study the scripture references and memorize the verses

    3.  Be able to write out what God is saying to you

    4.  Recall what you said to God

Weekly Study Plan Outline

    1.  Get acquainted, fellowship and refreshments

    2.  Highlights and opening prayer

    3.  Check memory verses

    4.  Discussion

    5.  Preview and closing Prayer

Spiritual Fitness Covenant

 Because I want to develop a more effective spiritually-fit Christian life, I covenant with God and my group to study faithfully between sessions and to contribute openly during the weekly sessions.  Furthermore, I will seek to attend the weekly sessions, to have a daily quiet time, and to pray daily for those in the group, unit, my family and church.
